I’m planning to run a one-day workshop (likely late January/early February) introducing a new approach to learning New Testament Greek. Using the Guided Immersion system I’ve developed, you’ll start reading real Greek texts from the very first session. Check out this video to see it in action, and get a taster for what the crash course will be like!

What to expect

  • 4-5 hour Saturday workshop (probably 10am-4pm with breaks)
  • No previous Greek knowledge required
  • Hands-on learning with immediate results
  • Access to the learning system for continued study
  • Bring your smartphone, tablet, or laptop (charging available)
  • Cookies & coffee / tea provided; bring your own lunch

No software installation necessary: the app runs in a web browser, and is engineered to work well on any modern device.

This initial workshop will be free as part of the system’s beta testing phase. We’ll go through selections chosen by the algorithm, discussing how to pronounce the letters, and the foundational grammar concepts necessary to understand them. We’ll also briefly touch on Koine Greek as a language, on how the algorithm works, and effective methods for study.

By the end of the course, you should be able to continue to use the system on your own.

About me

My name is George Dunlap. I’m a software developer and language enthusiast who developed the Guided Immersion system and used it to learn New Testament Greek from scratch.

As a fellow learner who has gone through this journey, I’ll be focusing on the fundamentals: “standard” (Erasmian) pronunciation and essential grammar concepts that will get you started reading authentic texts. The workshop emphasizes practical reading skills rather than advanced theoretical grammar or theological interpretation.
